Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in the Tempe area. The ideal candidate should be proficient in QuickBooks OR Sage, highly organized, and well-versed in managing a full range of financial activities for a small to medium-sized business. This is a temp-to-hire position, offering the opportunity to work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. All candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check prior to hire.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Full Cycle Accounting: Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll.
+ Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
+ Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and detailed reports for management.
+ Month-End Close Process: Oversee the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities.
+ Tax Compliance: Support the preparation of tax documents, including sales tax filings and year-end reporting.
+ Data Entry and System Maintenance: Accurately enter, update, and maintain financial data in QuickBooks OR Sage, ensuring all records are current and organized.
+ Budget Preparation and Analysis: Assist with the development and monitoring of budgets and provide variance analysis.
+ Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary financial documentation and data.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Education: Associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered.
+ Experience:
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
+ Proficiency in QuickBooks OR Sage is required.
+ Skills:
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
+ High attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools is a plus.

+ Reliable transportation to the Tempe area.
