Full Charge Bookkeeper
Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a growing Brand Consulting company in Laguna Beach, California. In this dynamic role, you will oversee accounting tasks, operational processes, and human resources functions, ensuring seamless financial management and compliance. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual seeking to contribute to a thriving organization. Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking activities. • Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial standards, and corporate reporting requirements. • Maintain records for company assets and handle annual property tax filings. • Support human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll processing. • Update and enforce company policies and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with labor laws. • Oversee daily office operations, including software and subscription management, basic IT troubleshooting, and safety standards. • Review and manage client contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives. • Coordinate with external accounting professionals for tax filings, audits, and monthly billing processes. • Monitor operational efficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline workflows. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with additional expertise in operations management and human resources preferred. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software systems such as QuickBooks. • Strong understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. • Familiarity with Advantage Software is a plus.
