Fuels Tester/Troubleshooter & Soldering Technician
Location: Tucson, AZ | Pay: $26–$27/hr | Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (30-min unpaid lunch) | OT Available
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the aviation industry to hire a skilled Fuels Tester/Troubleshooter & Soldering Technician. In this role, you’ll bring your technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize aerospace products at the component level. Your work will directly support mission-critical aerospace systems while driving efficiency and quality on the manufacturing floor.
What You’ll DoTroubleshoot aerospace products at both the unit and circuit card assembly levels.
Isolate failures down to the component level and determine proper repair procedures.
Perform advanced soldering tasks, including IPC-J-STD (Class 3) certified soldering and SMT processing.
Operate and maintain electrical lab and test equipment; utilize advanced troubleshooting tools as needed.
Support manufacturing operations to ensure product flow, quality, and efficiency.
Contribute to a lean manufacturing culture by identifying and implementing process improvements.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and meet production goals.
What You’ll BringExperience: Minimum 5 years in electronics troubleshooting, soldering, and PCB assembly.
Strong foundation in analog and/or digital electronics; embedded systems knowledge a plus.
Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, technical specifications, and assembly documentation.
Familiarity with electronic component-level troubleshooting and standard test equipment.
Advanced soldering skills with IPC-J-STD (Class 3) certification required.
Proficiency with computers and applications such as Excel, Word, and documentation control systems.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in EE, EET, ECET, or related technical field (experience considered in lieu of education).
Lean manufacturing experience.
10+ years of experience in testing/troubleshooting (will consider 5–7 years with relevant education).

Pay Details: $26.00 to $27.00 per hour
