As an Fuel Economy and Performance Ford Champ, you will work directly with experienced engineers, contributing to critical projects through research, data analysis, simulation, and testing. This position offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the rapidly evolving automotive industry, focusing on cutting-edge solutions for sustainable and high-performance vehicles. You will be part of a collaborative environment where continuous learning and innovation are highly encouraged.

This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on experience in optimizing vehicle fuel efficiency, reducing emissions, and enhancing overall performance. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will contribute to critical projects through research, data analysis, simulation, and testing, gaining invaluable expertise in the evolving automotive landscape.

What you´ll need:     

Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related engineering field. 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening) Strong analytical and communication skills  Foundational understanding of automotive systems, vehicle dynamics, thermodynamics, and internal combustion engine principles (or electric vehicle powertrains, if applicable to the role's focus). Basic familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering simulation concepts. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python for data analysis, Excel) is highly desirable, or a strong eagerness to learn these tools.

 What you´ll do:

Vehicle Performance and Efficiency Enhancement: The role involves assisting in the design, development, and testing of automotive components and systems, with a primary goal of improving fuel economy, reducing emissions, and enhancing overall vehicle performance. Data-Driven Analysis and Simulation: This includes utilizing data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB) to interpret test results and identify performance bottlenecks, as well as supporting the use of engineering simulation tools to model vehicle performance and fuel economy characteristics. Compliance, Documentation, and Problem Solving: Responsibilities extend to ensuring vehicle and system compliance with industry standards and regulations, preparing detailed technical documentation, and contributing to the identification and resolution of complex technical challenges related to vehicle energy management.
