Summary This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, Position Description Number NGD2427000 and is part of 114 LRS SQ. This is a Title 32, Dual-Status position. AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: - Members of the South Dakota Air National Guard AND those eligible to become a member of the South Dakota Air National Guard Responsibilities As a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, WG-5413-9, you will: This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. This position is located in the Fuels Management Flight, within the Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, at an ANG Aviation Wing. The primary purpose of this position is to manage fuel on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) which consists of operations and maintenance of a fuel distribution system that includes a fuels laboratory, cryogenic storage, bulk storage, base service station, fuels information service center, mobile fueling operations and the financial account management for missile propellants, aviation fuels, ground fuels and cryogenics utilized in support of aircraft, motor vehicles, engine test cells, powered Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), generators and heating systems required to support the Wing mission and transient aircraft. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: A1C up to TSgt eligible to apply. Selected individual must be assigned to a compatible military position in the following AFSC upon date of hire: AFSC 2F0XX. The AFSC(s) require an aptitude of M47 and G48 and a physical profile of 111121K. Aptitude scores can be checked on the vMPF or at the Customer Service in the Force Support Squadron and physical profile in the medical squadron. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full-time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 18 months experience in the KSAs listed below. Experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling fuel systems and components. Experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training. Knowledge to organize, administer and evaluate a segment of the fuels quality assurance program for the organization. Skill to direct, inspect, operate and maintain a complete fuels distribution system(s) to receive, store, transfer and issue both aviation and ground fuels. Knowledge to operate, inspect and perform all required maintenance and repair on 400-5,000 gallon cryogenic storage tanks.
