FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR SUPERVISOR
Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D2425000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard. Responsibilities As a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR SUPERVISOR, WS-5413-10, you will plan weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establish deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies. Determine skills, materials and equipment required to do the work. Participate in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and development of budget requests. Provide workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as the scheduling of projected work. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures. Instructs subordinates on new procedures or methods and provides assistance on difficult or new problem areas. Review work in progress or on completion. Make adjustments as necessary to effectively and economically accomplish the work. Note and investigate work related problems and independently implements corrective actions which can be taken without affecting work operations controlled by other supervisors. Assures that equipment and materiel is available when needed. Coordinate work with other units. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-6 immediately eligible to promote to E-7, through E-8 Compatible Military Assignments: 2F0X1 * Must be willing and able to cross train into the compatible AFSC SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, must have experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. Physical Effort: Exerts light to moderate physical effort while performing operations such as coupling and uncoupling equipment. Seldom lifts over 50 pounds, but work requires considerable standing, walking, bending, working in cramped conditions, and climbing on tanks, rigging, and other equipment. Working Conditions: Most of the work is performed outside in all kinds of weather or where protection is usually limited to building extensions, tarpaulins, and storage shed roofs. Follows safety regulations and uses safety equipment and precautions to avoid danger from fumes, flames, and explosions or to avoid slipping or falling from equipment.
