What you will be doing as a Fuel Cell Sealer:
In this role, you can expect to assemble and seal integral fuel cells with precision and care. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced sealers, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Fuel Cell Preparation Sealing: Perform various sealing operations on aircraft fuel cells, following standard procedures and instructions taught in Textron Aviation’s Fuel Cell Sealing Training courseSheet Metal Assembly: Assemble wing fuel cells, including drilling, countersinking, fitting, trimming, and riveting, ensuring all parts are properly cleaned before sealingLeak Testing: Test assembled wings by applying air and ammonia solution under pressure to check for leaksRework Quality Assurance: Perform rework by removing old sealant, re-cleaning, and re-sealing to meet specifications and prevent leaksTool Utilization: Use various sheet metal hand and power tools, along with sealing tools like spatulas, scrapers, rollers, sealing guns, fairing tools, and durometersWhat you need to be successful:
A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is requiredAbility to work in working conditions containing fumes, noise and working with sealants and solventsAbility to complete the Textron Aviation Integral Fuel Cell Sealing Training course within your first 6 months is requiredWhy join us?
