FTC Team Leader, PCS - Tax Engine

This is a FTC (Fixed Term Contractor) position and limited to 12 months.
Amazon seeks a Team lead to be a member of our Global Tax Calculation Services Program. The Program is comprised of tax professionals and software engineers that are responsible for providing end-to-end global transaction tax calculation solutions (sales and use taxes, value-added taxes, good and services taxes, and other consumption taxes) to Amazon and thousands of other merchants selling on Amazon marketplaces and other ecommerce platforms.
Team Lead – Tax Engine, will be responsible for smooth daily operations of Product Classification Services (PCS) team, leading a team of classification specialists. This is a great opportunity for a junior manager to advance their leadership skills while helping to solve complex tax issues as part of PCS.
Successful candidate will be responsible for: hiring, training and employee development; managing group workload and establishing priorities; ensuring existing policies and procedures are followed; managing annual performance targets; creating and monitoring appropriate performance metrics.
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2133 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

- Lead the team of classification specialists (12+)
- Discuss and drive individual development and individual performance metrics
- Participate in team operational excellence programs and process improvements
- Maintain metrics and reporting for measuring process improvement
- Perform product tax classifications and participate in ongoing audit activities
- Perform basic product taxability research across a wide range of categories
- Cooperate with other managers and cross-team stakeholders
- Apply taxonomies and other classification structures while supporting the product tax classification function
