Outreach is seeking a qualified Full Time Counselor to work at our Outpatient Recovery Center and OTP program located on the grounds of Pilgrim State at 998 Crooked Hill Rd., Building 5, Brentwood, NY. The Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) is responsible for the delivery and implementation of clinical services to an adult population of clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health problems.

What You Will Do:
· Provide various clinical or substance abuse services.
· Conduct intakes and monitor individual, group, and family therapies.
· Develop service plans and conduct reviews as needed throughout the duration of treatment.
· Provide mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services.
· Complete and maintain documentation according to federal and state guidelines.
· Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
· CASAC-T, CASAC, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMSW, LMHC OR LMFT; MHC-LP, MSW-LP
· 2-3 years of experience within the behavioral health or substance abuse disorder field
· 1-2 years of experience working in in an OASAS funded facility a plus
· Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning.
· Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and outside in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to travel among assigned sites and locations as needed.
