Responsibilities:

Direct and enhanced Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) programs, encompassing HACCP, SSOPs, SOPs, and GMPs. Guarantee adherence to BRC, USDA Organic, and other third-party audit standards. Direct the performance and development of the Quality Assurance team. Take ownership of validating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation and robust quality systems. Spearhead internal auditing initiatives and meticulously prepare for, and respond to, external audits. Foster cross-functional partnerships with R&D, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to proactively resolve quality issues and implement continuous improvement strategies. Safeguard product quality by verifying sanitation and environmental monitoring effectiveness. Function as the essential communication link for regulatory bodies and customer quality representatives.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of FSQA experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably NRTE. HACCP and PCQI certifications strongly preferred. Expertise in fully cooked proteins, cheeses, breads, and egg products. Proven success in BRC and Organic certification audits. Demonstrated success leading QA teams in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proficient in process validation, documentation, and root cause analysis.
