Job Description
At Hilton Amsterdam we are currently looking for a Front Office Night Supervisor on a full-time basis from May/June until November 2025. As Night Supervisor, you will supervise reception operations and perform the following tasks to the highest standards during the night:
\n\nSupervise accurate and efficient reception operations including check in/out procedures\nSupport Team Members in handling guest requests and enquires to ensure a positive outcome\nEnsure the Front Office Manager is fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments\nRepresent the Front Desk Manager in his/her absence during the Night Shift\nEnsure a consistent, high level of customer service\nBrief your team on any events or VIP guests in the hotel that day\nDrive sales revenues and promote hotel services and facilities for up-selling opportunities\nUnderstand and apply correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy\nMonitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork\nEnsure Team Members have current knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area and other general product knowledge necessary to perform their duties\nDemonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards\nAct in accordance with the front of house equipment and the property management systems\nCarry out shift handovers and brief team members as required\nFollow company brand standards\nAssist other departments, as necessary, and maintain good working relationships with hotel Team Members\nPerform the Night Audit and ensure all reports are prepared for next day operations\nDuring Night Shift support Room-Service department by being responsible for the Night Menu\nMake book-outs if necessary\n
Required skills and competences
To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
\n\nPrevious experience in a customer-focused industry\nPrevious experience with night-shifts\nPositive attitude and good communication skills\nCommitted to delivering a high level of customer service\nAbility to work on your own or as part of a team\nCompetent level of IT proficiency\nFluent in English, fluent in Dutch is preferred and an additional foreign language \nAble to work 5 night shifts per week \n\n
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
\n\nPrevious supervisory experience in a hotel environment or 2 years’ experience as a Front Desk agent\nPrevious experience with night shifts\n\n
