Front Office Manager at Hyatt Centric Melbourne

Join the heartbeat of Melbourne's hospitality scene at Hyatt Centric Melbourne, where vibrant city energy meets world-class service. We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Front Office Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and inspire a team of 30 in delivering exceptional guest experiences every day.

Reporting directly to the Director of Rooms, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the Front Desk, Bell Desk, and Guest Services, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the signature Hyatt warmth and attention to detail.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Lead by example, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for every guest and team member.Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at increasing occupancy and revenue.Manage daily operations while fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.Assist with departmental budgeting, forecasting, and payroll planningBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Play an active role in recruitment, onboarding, and the continuous development of front office colleagues through coaching and mentoring.

About You:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Front Office Manager or Assistant Manager in a large-scale hotel, ideally 5-star.

· Proficient in Opera PMS – you know it inside and out.

· Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Business, or Tourism Management.

· A passionate leader who thrives on mentoring and motivating others.

· Strong communicator with excellent service recovery and conflict resolution skills.

· Calm under pressure, highly organized, and solutions-focused.

· Understanding of revenue and budget management is a strong plus.

· Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
