Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence is looking for a talented and experienced Front Desk Supervisor who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating the ultimate experience. 

 

About The Role

What You Will Do 

Checks in guests in an efficient and friendly manner, using guests' names whenever possible.  Ensures that the guest is assigned the requested type of room and that the correct rate is charged. Arranges for luggage to be delivered to the guest room.  Issue the correct keys to the guest.

Checks out the guest at the end of the stay.  Ensures guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges, and presents the bill to the guest.  Settles the bill accurately through a credit card or cash transaction.

Resolves customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guests will be in person and by phone.

Maintains a balanced bank assigned by the hotel.  Makes change, cashes checks, and exchanges foreign currency. Reconciles all transactions at the close of each shift.

Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports, and select and block rooms for arriving guests.

Complies with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as outlined in Empact.

Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Accepts reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of the Reservations Department Staff.  Can answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Communications Operator.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in the areas of the Concierge, Bell Staff, Business Center, and lobby coverage. Provides basic troubleshooting support for in-room services such as Internet, TV, movies, games, and Web services. Works closely with Bell Staff to ensure smooth handling of guest luggage, deliveries, and special requests.

• Native Arabic speaker is a must. 

 

What You Bring 

Have college degree, preferably specializing in management or equivalent experience, is required. 

Have knowledge of Rooms & Front Office, labour control, merchandising, and accounting. 

Have the ability to operate computer equipment and other Rooms & Front Office computer systems. 

Have reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. 

2+ years of previous experience in a similar role in five-star luxury hotels

Schedule & Hours 

Full-time job with 5 working days a week.
