The ATCO Frontec team in Resolute Bay provides logistics services for various Northern Government and private sector initiatives, including support and maintenance for the Polar Continental Shelf Program, Resolute Bay Weather Observation, and the operation, maintenance and distribution of fuel for the hamlet and the Resolute Bay airport. The project team also provides logistics and operational support to initiatives in surrounding communities including Eureka and Grise Fiord. Description:
ATCO Frontec is seeking a Front Desk Attendant to join our team in Resolute Bay, NU. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, remote environment performing a variety of day-to-day administrative duties in support of Resolute operations.
The position will be located on site at Resolute Bay, NU and will work on a rotation of 4 weeks on/4 weeks off, 7 days a week, with all travel paid. The wage is $26/hour with overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
Work independently to manage front desk operations Make new reservations, check guests in and out, and process payments accurately Maintain accurate guest financial records Coordinate truck reservations and conference room rentals Handle catering bookings and liaise with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service Organize airport pick-ups and drop-offs for guests, driving as required Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest issues promptly Develops and maintains manual and computerized records and reports Arranges crew flight and hotel in accordance with the site rotation Schedule and operational requirements Follows all Safe Work Job Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures which are applicable to the specific tasks Provides overall administrative support to the management and project team as requiredQualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel front desk or similar hospitality role. Administrative training from a recognized school, college or demonstrated relevant work experience. A valid driver’s license is required. Proficient with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
