Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional experiences and ensuring smooth operations at our hotel's front desk.

Greet and welcome guests, providing a warm and professional first impressionPerform efficient check-in and check-out procedures, including room assignments and key card issuanceHandle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteouslyProcess payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of paymentUpsell hotel services and amenities to maximize revenue and enhance guest experiencesMaintain accurate guest records and reservations using the hotel's property management systemCollaborate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met and issues are resolvedProvide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation optionsAssist with concierge services, such as making restaurant reservations or arranging transportationEnsure the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary suppliesAdhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesParticipate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance job skills and knowledge
Qualifications
At least 1 year of progressive experience in a Guest Services role, preferably in a hotel settingAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in business, management, hospitality, or related field; or equivalent of 3 years relevant work experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Experience with Opera property management system is preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team membersExcellent customer service skills with a friendly and enthusiastic demeanorDetail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentProblem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressureBasic math skills for handling financial transactions and reconciling accountsFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 poundsFluency in English; additional language skills are a plusKnowledge of the hospitality industry and local area attractions is beneficial
