Apply now! **Location:** 850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 **Job Description:** **Position Summary** This role is responsible for maintaining and growing a book of business by executing merchandising and marketing programs necessary to drive Freshsales and gross profit. **Here's What You'll Do** + Establish and maintain working relationships with independent customers and participates in the execution of merchandising and marketing programs necessary to drive Fresh Meat & Seafood sales  + Closely collaborate with Account Sales Managers to grow Fresh Meat & Seafood share of wallet, sales revenue and develop new sales leads and collateral across the breadth and regional customer base + Prepare and distribute targeted materials for new and existing customers + Monitors and follows up on operating performance of stores within local territory with specific regard to sales and profit performance of all existing and new products. + Serve as the local primary source of information for assigned categories and use information to influence the team and to improve the results.  + Build in-depth knowledge of latest sales menu to successfully convert a large number of outreach efforts into customer sales/orders/leads. + Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.  **Here's What You'll Need** + Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Business Administration, Food Marketing, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.   + Four (4) years' experience in Fresh Meat field & account sales. + Strong verbal and written communication skills.    + Strong financial acumen, analytical, influencing and negotiations skills.    + Working knowledge of retail operations.    + Experience working across business units to leverage resources and capabilities to accomplish company goals.    + Proficient in Word, Excel, & PowerPoint …experience with purchasing systems & Salesforce is a plus.    + Inside (phone) sales experience is a plus.    + Ability to travel between 10-15% depending on assigned stores. **Physical Requirements:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
