French Speaking Credit Team Leader

An exciting opportunity awaits for a French Speaking Accounts Receivable Team Leader to join a thriving finance department in Lancashire. As a French Speaking Accounts Receivable Team Leader based in Blackburn, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of the accounts receivable department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around guiding your team through their duties with care and consideration while ensuring that all processes run smoothly from start to finish. You will be instrumental in monitoring workflows, distributing tasks according to priorities, and stepping in when challenges arise—always with an eye towards continuous improvement.

Key duties:

Guide, train, and nurture a team of Accounts Receivable specialists by providing ongoing support and development opportunities tailored to individual needs. Oversee the distribution of workload within the team to ensure service level agreements and key performance indicators are consistently met or exceeded. Monitor end-to-end accounts receivable processes closely, proactively investigating any discrepancies or issues that arise and ensuring timely resolution. Take responsibility for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting within your area of responsibility, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all financial documentation. Perform monthly reconciliations across sales, cash, card transactions, and other general ledger accounts relevant to the role. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounts receivable function and collaborate with others to implement positive changes. Act as the escalation point for complex queries or issues within the team or from customers, resolving matters efficiently and empathetically. Handle general administration tasks as required while maintaining high standards of organisation and attention to detail.

To excel as a French Speaking Accounts Receivable Team Leader in this organisation, you will bring proven experience from previous roles within finance or accounting environments where dependability was essential. Your background should include hands-on involvement with accounts receivable functions as well as exposure to managing or mentoring others—even informally—demonstrating your ability to foster teamwork through empathy and encouragement.

You should have experience in the following areas:

Minimum of two years’ experience working within an accounts or finance-related role where you have demonstrated reliability and attention to detail. Fluent French and English Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a small team by fostering a collaborative atmosphere built on trust and mutual respect. Exceptional organisational skills that allow you to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Excellent communication abilities in both English and French so you can liaise confidently with customers as well as internal stakeholders. A considerate approach when resolving escalated queries or issues—ensuring all parties feel heard and supported throughout the process. Strong analytical skills enabling you to monitor processes effectively and identify areas for improvement within existing workflows. Experience preparing detailed reports on daily, weekly, or monthly cycles using financial systems or spreadsheets as appropriate.
