Freight Analyst
Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Freight Analyst to join our logistics team in Cedar Creek, TX. This role plays a critical part in driving cost-effective freight solutions through data analysis, rate benchmarking, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with operations, logistics service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient transportation planning, route maintenance, and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Transportation Analysis

Analyze and benchmark transportation carrier freight rates across shipping modes.

Provide analytical support during carrier contract negotiations and sourcing projects (e.g., RFPs).

Forecast and maintain freight budgets, monitor trends, and ensure adherence.

Operational Support

Collaborate with operations teams across multiple sites to manage and maintain SAP transportation routes and condition tables (e.g., PWeaver master data).

Generate and analyze KPI reports related to freight spend, carrier performance, and logistics operations.

Support the Freight Audit & Pay team by resolving carrier escalations and maintaining accurate account data.

Provide ad hoc logistics reporting and operational support as needed.

Continuous Improvement

Lead and support CI (Continuous Improvement) projects through data analysis and ideation.

Develop business cases backed by data to support transportation strategy decisions and carrier awards.

Maintain awareness of market trends and cost structures across various transportation modes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution, in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or closely related discipline

4+ years of relevant experience

Advanced knowledge and experience with SAP preferred

Analytical mindset with advanced data management/collection capabilities-Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools

Extensive knowledge of shipping modes and distribution channels

Curious mindset with a willingness to act and to challenge status quo

Experience participating in projects of small and large scope

Demonstrated use of analytical capability to drive logistics savings and process improvement

Ability to proactively identify, analyze and resolve complex problems

Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills; strong organizational skills with a focus on details

Experience in developing and fostering relationships at all levels  Brings a high degree of emotional intelligence along with strong listening skills and written/verbal communication skills

Experience working with international/global teams across multiple time-zone.  Effective in working across all levels of an organization with people from different cultures and backgrounds

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $77,600.00 - $121,250.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
