Freelance Assistant Manager, Features Production Management - NBC Sports

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of 5-6 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed. The Assistant Manager, Features Production Management will report into the Senior Manager, Features Production Management and support the entire Features Production Management team, as well as the overall Olympic Operations team.  Responsibilities + Support Features Production Management team on Sports and/or Olympic features, documentaries and sales projects (could also assist in similar roles across any/all properties): + Assist with forecasting, budgets, and planning for profiles, features, documentary, and specialty projects. + Update budgets as production progresses to track overall spending categories, including domestic/international profiles, documentaries/long form features, etc. + Reconcile administrative paperwork, correspondence, notes/final reports from all projects in various internal systems + Book logistics (schedule travel, hotel, rentals, crew/equipment needs), research and prepare estimates prior to each project and track costs throughout production. + Request Certificate of Insurance and Property Insurance for various vendors, vendor credit card authorizations, visa applications and carnets for international shoots, secure mandatory traveler information + Other duties as assigned Basic Requirements: + 3-5 years minimum production coordination/management or equivalent experience in television, live or corporate events required + Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail + Proven ability to assess priorities, adapt to face-paced environments and take direction from multiple people + Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office environment, smart sheet, desktop publishing and ability to master in-house database systems (strong administrative skills are key, CRM experience beneficial) + Willingness to work long hours, weekends as needed + Able to travel for work if needed Desired Characteristics: + Ability to effectively and quickly problem solve and handle demanding and time sensitive situations + Ability to build relationships across diverse departments Additional Requirements: + Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered   + Must have unrestricted work authorization + Position is based in Stamford, Connecticut (minimum 3 days per week in the office depending on project) As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
