Free People is seeking a temporary design coordinator to support the sweaters team. This role will assist both the Collection Sweaters and We The Free Sweaters teams by managing administrative tasks and providing organizational support throughout the design and development process. The position plays a key role in facilitating the creation, development, and execution of own-brand product across sweaters and knits categories.

Role Responsibilities Maintain an active role in the weekly Design Flow Meetings. Take notes and manage follow up communication on all outstanding issues in collaboration with Designers and PD teamsTech Pack creation and updates. Create style numbers following PD’s allocation chart, ensuring comprehensive completion of all chart detailsInput sketches, design packs and trims to BOM after passed by designMaintain and update starter pages, incorporating accurate labels across sweaters and swits classes across both Collection & We The Free classesPartner with PD on the status of styles in development daily to ensure product execution meets design specifications and are on track in style development processPrepare development packages and participate in follow up communication with vendor communicationResponsible for shipping/ picking up packages across Sweaters categoryReview incoming garments with Designer and PD partners to ensure they are correct and in line with original intent as well as brand standards and update TS accordinglyUpdate bulk approvals in Tradestone in partnership with Production / PD and design teamsAssist in sample preparation for monthly sales review meetings by collaborating with Designer on innovative presentations that effectively communicate line to Buyers and Brand leaders.Help organize and propose new tools to help design team meet upcoming design deadlinesPerform special tasks as needed Role Qualifications

Skills

Strong sense of organizational skills as well as passionate of fast speed environmentProactive and self motivated is a must for this roleProficient in Microsoft platforms (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)Experience putting together artwork and embellishment packages preferredExcellent communication skills to communicate ideas and inspirations to others and to interact with Designers, Buyers and other Cross Functional partners.  Strong organizational and relationship building skills and ability to intuitively respond and reprioritize as needs shift during the development process.Design tools knowledge is a nice to have: Procreate, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)

Qualifications:

Entry level technical knowledge of apparel construction.Entry level knowledge design processes

On-site in person 5 days a week Philadelphia, PA
