Free People Design is seeking a Summer 2026 intern for our print team! Each summer URBN Inc. welcomes candidates from across the country to immerse themselves within various teams across our portfolio of brands and gain hands-on learning experience in the area of business which they choose to pursue. For 10 weeks, interns will share in the unique culture & perks found at our Home Office in the historic Philadelphia Navy Yard, while developing the skills to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment. Our paid internship program also offers a summer full of intern focused events including exposure to our senior leadership across the business in small group settings, insight into company initiatives, off-site field trips & for those qualified a chance to interview for a full-time job opportunity.

The Free People Print Intern’s responsibility is to support the designers and merchants by providing entry level skills and basic administrative skills.Completing a variety of tasks in an efficient and timely manner, while working closely with many people and problem solving both creatively and technically to ensure that we are creating and selling product that represents the unique style of the Free People customer.

The URBN 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/1 through 8/7 at our Home Office in
Philadelphia, PA.

Summer Internship Program Application Process:
   
1. Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills. If there is a project component required for the design internship position you are applying for, you will be notified directly by 11/8. If requested to complete a project, it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position. 
 
2. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a
video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email
is received.  
 
3. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.

Role Responsibilities Complete print artworks and CADS at designers request with manager’s guidanceCreate print repeats and technical placementsColor prints according to the trends and seasonal color palettesScan and prepare artwork for design meetingsAbility to sketch or to communicate design ideas via computer program. Contribute and participate in trend meetings for each season, as well as helping research emerging trends and inspiration as they relate to the Free People productCommunicate artwork/color to the vendor using our print softwareProvide technical communication and follow up related to print artworkFacilitate designer or merchant needs for style visualization (CAD)Assist with s/off and yarn dye approvalsWork with design coordinator to prepare artwork files for web pdmAdministrative tasks for the design team such as copying/filing/helping designers with monthly print packages Role Qualifications Studies in Textile Design, Surface Design, Graphic Design, Fine Art or IllustrationExperience in print and textile design with a strong foundation of hand drawing/painting and digital rendering. Strong creative and technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite and NedGraphics (preferred).Enthusiasm and willingness to explore creatively using AI platformsExcellent communication skills with a flexible and positive attitude.Ability to successfully work in a team environment The Perks
