We have an incredible opening for a Activities/Lifestyle Director to join our team! The Activities/Lifestyle Director is responsible for assisting the Lifestyle Manager in providing activities programs and opportunities for residents that promote a level of health, wellbeing, engagement and growth.
Our Director of Activities:
Creates and administers the planning, scheduling, and conducting lifestyle programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for the residents.
Attends all community planned functions and coordinates events from beginning to end including setup, facilitation, and breakdown for the event.
Creates and plans appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
Creates an annual calendar of events, including social media calendar.
Writes/creates community newsletter.
Creates communication strategy with residents and, as necessary, family members.
Creates/Implements wellness program.
Interact with residents, guests, and staff in an atmosphere of hospitality.
Protects the privacy of the residents when communication oral and written information.
Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's Degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Project Management Skills
Must have experience planning and creating activities for small and large groups that vary in skill, ability, and interests.
Experience managing budgets.
Understanding of aging populations and long-term care regulations strongly preferred.
1-2 years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.
Strong English language proficiency (written/verbal).
