Franchise Lead Inhalers

Job Purpose:

To contribute to the business success through the development and the implementation of actionable marketing strategies leading to profitable and competitively positioned Respiratory & Immunology (R&I) inhalers brands portfolioMaximize the success of inhalers portfolio & contribute actively to the development of the R&I therapy area vision and strategyTo lead a team of Brand Managers/Senior Brand Managers and work on their developmentTo support & aid in the on boarding of new AB’s/ BM’sTo achieve financial objectives, leveraging available resources in the most effective manner

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Operational Brand Management & Customer Excellence

Lead the delivery of high-quality strategic plans for AstraZeneca R&I inhalers franchise, launch plans, business action plans and campaign plan in close collaboration with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Corporate Affairs, Access, Finance and SFEDeliver and implement ambitious and customer focused brand strategic plansAssess regional opportunities for the inhalers portfolioProvide clear recommendations to SMT on key business strategies such as budget, key strategic elements, major tactical programs, and any issues having significant business risk.Prepare and launch new inhalers portfolio within Near East & Maghreb markets and accelerate growth of already existing portfolioDevelop the key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure successful brands and address gaps and discrepancies

Customers

Develop deep understanding of customer needs through innovative Market Research techniques and frequent contacts with key stakeholders and customers.Develop strong relationship with KOL and represent the company in external meetingsPut in place effective operation plan in order to optimize relationship plans in collaboration with the BU ManagerRegular contacts with KOLs to optimize current and future marketing initiatives across multiple channels while bringing innovative solutionsIdentify future opportunities with key stakeholders.

Communication & Promotion

Lead the cross-functional team to develop all campaign material and all the briefing documents to ensure maximum impactLeverage guidelines from global brand team and brief campaign task force accordingly to ensure respect of international guidelinesManage actively agencies to ensure optimal use of available financial resourcesBriefing and selection of agencyReview performance of agency and costsCollect adequate feedback on promotional material/items at feedback meetingsOrganize, in collaboration with members of the brand team as required:Advisory boards, round tables or other expert meetingsSpeaker/PM Lead MeetingsLaunch meetingsBe actively involved in the organization of regional and national sales meetings as requiredEnsure full compliance of material / activities with ethical and AZ Pharma code (demonstrate and ensure active respect for values, business ethics, local laws, policies and marketing procedures)

Cross -Functional Relations

Act as a key element of the cross-functional teamAble to work among virtual highly matrixed teams with proven effectiveness.Able to lead cross-functional meetings, drive collaboration and alignment across multiple markets

Minimum Criteria and Competencies:

Internal candidates:Minimum 2 years of experience in Astrazeneca as Senior Brand ManagerFor internal candidates: R&I experience is a mustExternal candidates:Bachelor’s degree of pharmacy, life sciences, medicine or chemistry with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in pharmaceutical marketing is requiredMinimum of 3 years as senior marketing experiencePrior leadership experience managing teams and marketing budgetsR&I experience is a mustProven experience in managing product launches, brand positioning and lifecycle managementFrench language is a plus, English language is a mustWillingness to travel extensively for fieldwork, business meetings, conferences and stakeholders meetingsAbility to network across geographic and cultural boundariesStrategic planning: ability to design and implement effective marketing strategiesMarket research & analysis: understanding of market trends, competition and customer needsProduct management: knowledge of portfolio management, forecasting and pricing strategiesLeadership & communication: strong team leadership, stakeholder management, influencing and  negotiation skillsDigital marketing: familiarity with digital tools, CRM platforms & multichannel campaignsExcellent project management skills and excellence in executionStrong communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsBusiness acumen and good knowledge of P&L developmentTeam working and networkingAble to handle complexity and high problem solving abilityAnalytical mindset with results driven approachDelivery – gets the job done, meets or exceeds expectations and exhibits a sense of urgency on critical time dependant issues.
