Job Summary
The Franchise District Manager is an inspirational leader who oversees multiple franchise-owned travel centers within a designated geographic area, where you will be responsible for supporting, providing leadership and holding franchise partners accountable to agreements and to aid the sites in operating a successful and profitable location. This individual will build and maintain a strong, dynamic leadership team by communicating a clear vision and give direction on the TA System standards. The Franchise District Manager ensures these sites are returning every traveler to the road better than they came!
In this role, you can expect to:
•Support, encourage and assist all franchise locations in the designated geographic area.
•Demonstrate a professional, confident demeanor with a high level of character, honesty and integrity.
•Work to achieve company objectives related to safety, franchise growth, site success, quality of service and appearance of the locations.
•Support, encourage and assist the sites in delivering a solid customer experience.
•Support, encourage and assist sites in following the TA System. At random, verify compliance (i.e. by performing site inspections, providing feedback and ensuring corrective actions have taken place.
•Monitor key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and clearly communicate opportunities to site management and principles.
•Assist in monitoring construction or remodeling of new franchise locations to ensure compliance to approved plans and TA Petro standards.
•Assist in opening ceremonies and provide recognition for excellent service standards and activities.
•Coordinate activities with the TA Petro Franchise Team to support, grow, develop and improve the network’s franchise locations.
•Other responsibilities as assigned.
What we’d like to see:
•An inspirational leader who sets the example
•High School Diploma (or GED) required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
•5+ years of experience in a multi-unit leadership role preferred with proven positive results
•Proficient planning and analytical skills (i.e. understanding the calculations on the P&L, coverage ratio, budget & expense report, etc.) – able to achieve positive financial results
•Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and understanding of POS software
•Stay current with industry “best practices” by bench marking competitors, reading industry periodicals, proficient in the latest technical procedures/systems/software and government regulations
•Ability to travel (Including overnight on occasion)
•A valid driver's license

Typical Physical Demands
In this role, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. Standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending over, crouching, crawling, climbing, and repetitive use of legs are done occasionally. The team member is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs and/or move heavy objects.
