We are currently recruiting a highly skilled and motivated FRACAS Engineer to support the business with the responsibility of managing the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of our products and systems. As a member of the reliability team your role functions as an interface between LUL reliability team FXM, RAM and Maintenance to ensure a constant improvement and reliability growth of the new Piccadilly line.

Please note that this role is based in London with travel required across various London sites.

You’ll make a difference by

Assisting the Technical Issue Manager and the FXM team by managing reporting of failures. Conducting detailed analysis to identify root causes of failures or lead suppliers (internal and external) to it. Reviewing failure reports to maintain comprehensive records of failures, and analyses to ensure data completeness. Utilizing failure data to enhance the reliability and maintainability of systems via cross checking between theoretical reliability (FMECA) and live data as well as FXM reported values. Working closely with cross-functional teams to communicate findings and implement solutions to assist the Technical Issue Manager and the overall reliability growth of the Piccadilly Line Fleet. Ensuring that all provided data from available sources (CMMS, Redmine customer, etc) is of a high enough quality to be analysed. Linking values coming from FRACAS to the Reliability data to have a complete picture. Implementing safe systems and controls within your area of responsibility and complying with the Siemens Mobility HSQE policies.  

Your success will be grounded by

A relevant degree or HND/HNC/BTEC qualification/higher equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering. Experience in a FRACAS or RAM related role or equivalent experience in a railway/rolling stock environment. Familiarity with reliability analysis techniques such as FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis). Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in reliability engineering. Experience in tools such as CORMAP, Maximo, Remine and relevant databases for data analysis. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Solid understanding of engineering principles and root-cause analysis methodologies. Proficiency in RAMS tools, project management, and multitasking. Effective communication and teamwork abilities in collaborative environments.  

It would also be beneficial to

Have experience as a Senior RAM Engineer Be certified in Reliability Engineering or related fields. Have experience with data analysis and statistical tools. Be able to stay focused and endure setbacks. Have experience with reliability growth programs and reliability testing.
