The M&A Manager with a focus on finance processes, data, and systems plays a critical role in ensuring the successful integration of financial operations after an acquisition decision has been made. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the seamless transition of financial systems, processes, and data while ensuring compliance, risk management, and alignment with corporate financial objectives. The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration Manager is responsible for working with M&A Teams from Business IS and Corporate IS to come up action plan for the integration of acquired entities, focusing on Global Finance Processes, Systems and Applications in alignment with the broader M&A integration strategy. The role involves planning and executing integration activities for both mergers and acquisitions as well as divestments, ensuring close collaboration with project leads, finance operations, and relevant business units and IS personnel. Success in this position requires strong leadership, the ability to navigate complex scenarios, foster cross-functional teamwork, and maintain focus on achieving strategic objectives.

This role is contributing to the Finance Services business Finance Process Data Systems division in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Pre & Post acquisition Evaluation: Work closely with the M&A team from Corporate and Business IS, (and external advisors where applicable) during the due diligence process, with a specific focus on evaluating the financial processes, systems, and data quality of the target company.Finance Integration Planning: Accountable to build and deliver M&A (including divestments) planning the integration/separation with/from ABB Finance systems, applications and tools, having a business centric approach ensuring delivery on time, budget, scope and quality while working closely with all stakeholders to align on business & technical requirements.Finance M&A Governance: Responsible for owning and regular update of Finance M&A Playbook. Defines and manages FPDS M&A integration planning services governance, aligning responsibilities and accountabilities with internal and external stakeholders as required.M&A Integration deployment: Drive end-to-end activities related to finance processes and systems for all mergers, acquisitions and divestments. Responsible for M&A integration planning and execution for identified Global Finance Applications, tools and processes.Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor’s degree or post-graduation in Economics/Finance/Management/ Business Engineering or similar field. 10+ years of experience in managing Process, data and tool integrations from a Finance & IT perspective.Understanding of financial accounting, value flows and nuances of related processes. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business process owners, IT teams, and external vendors, to deliver business-aligned technology solutions.Experience in deployment of MDG and or CFIN for a multi country ERP environment would be an added advantage. Strong understanding of system design, data flows, and integration methodologies.Intricate knowledge of finance applications, data flows and reporting including having handled/participated in at least one major integration / carveout project Strong communication, project management and budgeting skills. Ability to lead, manage and work across strategic programs and all M&A phases.Excellent communication & negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional challenges. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.More about us:
