About the Role

As a Finance Business Partner for JLL's Project & Development Services (PDS) and Tetris businesses in Paris, you will provide commercial financial support and drive business performance through proactive engagement. This role combines financial analysis, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking to ensure project profitability while maintaining a strong cashflow position. Most importantly, you will not just generate insights but actively lead reviews with operational stakeholders to ensure recommendations are understood, accepted, and implemented.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Business Partnering

Partner with PDS and Tetris leadership to provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making

Partnering with both local (French) and EMEA finance and business teams

Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the business

Conduct regular review meetings with operational leads to present financial analysis and ensure follow-through on recommendations

Drive accountability by tracking actions from financial reviews and documenting progress

Translate financial data into actionable business insights and work directly with team leads to implement changes

Project Profitability & Financial Control

Monitor ongoing project profitability through regular financial reviews & lead structured profitability discussions with project managers to address underperforming projects

Analyze variances against budget and forecast, providing clear explanations and collaborative action plans

Implement project financial controls to maintain margin integrity

Establish regular cadence (monthly P&L) of financial performance discussions with operational teams to ensure continuous improvement

Cash Flow Management

Track and report on cash flow position for both businesses

Proactively manage accounts receivable, including systematic follow-up on outstanding debt

Lead targeted review sessions with project teams focused specifically on cash collection strategies

Monitor and chase accrued income to ensure timely conversion to revenue (invoicing)

Work with project teams to optimize billing schedules and minimize payment delays

Hold operational leads accountable for meeting cash targets through regular review meetings

Forward-Looking Analysis

Maintain integrity and accuracy of the order book and pipeline data

Monitor the forecasts and performance by also establish relevant dashboards for rolling forecast

Lead collaborative planning sessions with operational teams using forward-looking data

Develop resource planning models based on forward commitments and pipeline

Facilitate regular capacity planning meetings to align team resources with project demands

Provide regular forecasts on future workload and ensure operational understanding and buy-in

Qualifications & Skills

Required

Master in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, management accounting or business partnering

Strong commercial acumen and business understanding

Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (Peoplesoft)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive action

Experience facilitating financial review meetings with non-finance stakeholders

Fluent in English

Preferred

Professional accounting qualification (Master Finance)

Knowledge of the French market and accounting practices

French language skills

Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools

Track record of successfully implementing financial process improvements

Experience in project-based businesses is a good advantage, ideally in real estate or construction
