We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

The FP&A and Consolidation Governance Manager plays a critical role in optimizing Caterpillar’s Corporate FP&A and Consolidation processes through effective governance and design of financial systems—primarily OneStream. This role focuses on system design, process governance, and risk management, without involvement in deployment or support, in alignment with Caterpillar’s V-shaped delivery model.

As part of the Caterpillar IT Corporate Services team, this position is responsible for defining and maintaining scalable, standardized, and sustainable system designs for global consolidation, forecasting, management reporting, and XP&A functions. The role requires close collaboration with Corporate Consolidations, XP&A, and business unit stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with Corporate Consolidations, XP&A, Caterpillar IT, and business units to gather requirements and translate them into scalable system designs. Provide strategic input on financial transformation initiatives and system enhancements. Communicate effectively with global stakeholders on financial systems governance and accounting-related matters.

What You Have:

10+ years of experience in Consolidation, FP&A, or Financial Systems roles. 2+ years of OneStream experience in system design or implementation (or equivalent expertise). Strong understanding of finance transformation, XP&A, and financial reporting processes. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Solid accounting acumen and familiarity with financial close and planning cycles. Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment.

Top Candidates Will Have:

CPA, CMA, MBA, or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance. OneStream Certification (e.g., OneStream Certified Professional or Associate Admin). Deep knowledge of the OneStream XF platform, including extensibility and cube design. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
