Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team at a cottonseed warehouse. This position plays a critical role in the efficient handling, stacking, loading, and unloading of cottonseed materials. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience in a warehouse or agricultural setting and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:Safely operate a forklift to move cottonseed bags, bales, or bulk product throughout the warehouse and yardLoad and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing shipmentsStack and organize cottonseed materials to maximize space and minimize product damageConduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needsMaintain a clean and orderly warehouse and adhere to all safety regulationsAssist with inventory counts and general labor duties as neededFollow instructions from supervisors and work effectively in a team setting
Work Environment:Indoor and outdoor warehouse conditionsExposure to dust, noise, and seasonal weather conditionsFast-paced, physically demanding work environment
Work Experience
Qualifications:Previous forklift experience required; cottonseed, agriculture, or heavy material handling preferredValid forklift certification or ability to obtain oneAbility to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work in hot, dusty, and physically demanding conditionsStrong attention to detail and safetyGood communication and teamwork skillsMust be able to stand, bend, twist, and work on your feet for extended periods
