Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Forklift for its Natchitoches Engineered Wood Products (EWP) manufacturing facility located in Natchitoches, LA. This is an hourly position within the Press Department and the primary function is to drive a forklift to transport veneer to the correct bays in the Press and assure the veneer is not wet prior to processing. The wage for this role is $21.86 per hour. *KEY FUNCTIONS:* * Determine from the Production Lead what materials will be running during the shift. * Complete daily forklift inspection prior to shift, checking fluids, brakes, lights, and other features. * Refuel appropriately as needed. * Drive forklift to obtain veneer from the hot house and transport to the bays, and stack on the infeed table. * Keep a record by pulling barcode tags from each bundle, scanning the tag for inventory and accounting purposes. * Receive loads of veneer when needed, ensuring bills of lading match with veneer received. * Enter receiving data into SAP. * Ensure the warehouse is clean. * Possibly breakout Veneer Graders or other associates. * Take out scrap veneer buggies and band up scrap veneer. Band stickers, preparing them for shipment. * Ensure trash carts and dumpsters are empty. * Other duties as assigned. * High school diploma/GED. * Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, or wood products manufacturing facility. * Must successfully pass a forklift test. * Must exhibit the ability to lead and promote a pro-active safety culture. * Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, which may include weekends and holidays as operating conditions require. * Previous forklift training certification with previous employer a plus. * A resume or detailed list of education and experience is required for consideration. *About Wood Products* We've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
