**Job Title: Forklift Operator** Job Description We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to maintain a clean dock area, efficiently unload and load trailers, and perform various tasks as needed. Forklift operation will comprise 50% of your duties, with the remaining time dedicated to administrative tasks such as basic computer functions, entering information into TruckMate, printing paperwork, and answering emails. Responsibilities + Maintain cleanliness of the dock area. + Unload and load trailers efficiently. + Operate a forklift for 50% of your work duties. + Perform administrative tasks including data entry into TruckMate, printing, and email correspondence. + Be flexible and assist with various tasks as needed. Essential Skills + Minimum of 6 months experience operating a Sit Down Counterbalance (SDCB) Forklift. + Forklift certification. + Good computer skills, including typing and email communication. + Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. + General knowledge of cities north of Nanaimo. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2-5+ years of forklift experience. + Leadership experience. + Experience with TruckMate software. + Ability to work independently and take initiative. + Comfortable with shop talk. + Good English communication skills. The team is fast-paced, multicultural, and operates independently while encouraging a hit-the-ground-running attitude. You will be part of a team of 10 members. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, which employees must provide. Shifts are available from Monday to Friday, 4 am to 12 pm.
