**_Job Description_** **:** The Equipment Handler is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through the proper use and basic care of material handling equipment, specifically forklifts. This role focuses on efficient equipment operation, loading and unloading activities at the dock doors, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. **_Responsibilities_** **:** + Performs daily maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts. + Schedules and conduct routine forklift inspections. + Maintains accurate records of inspections and equipment servicing. + Assists in the receiving, identification, staging, and dispatching of goods. + Operates forklifts safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse. + Load / Unload containers and carry boxes up to 50 lbs. + Ensure all trailers placed in the dock are properly locked. + Follows all company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines. + Organizes and maintains inventory related to warehouse equipment and parts. + Ensures accuracy in shipment handling and inventory transactions. + Keeps dock areas clean, safe, and well-organized. + Promotes teamwork and collaboration across warehouse operations. **_Qualifications:_** + Experience in cargo staging. + Basic knowledge of import/export processes, including labeling and documentation. + Understanding of warehouse equipment care and handling. + Knowledge of ocean container loading/unloading at dock level. + OSHA Forklift License/Certification required. + Proficient in operating various forklift types, including double reach and slip sheet. + Proven warehouse experience. + Strong commitment to safety, organization, and task completion. **Pay Details:** $17.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
