Job Title: Forklift Driver
Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a warehouse that carries a full range of high-quality concrete supplies, including concrete formwork materials, chemicals, sealers, additives, pigments, waterproofing, repair and protection products, as well as construction accessories. This role involves both forklift operation and manual lifting within the warehouse.

ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts (50% of the time) and perform manual lifting (50% of the time).Pick orders for wholesale and retail customer orders.Use SDCB (Propane) and stand-up reach (Electric) forklifts.Perform shipping and receiving duties.Unload and load trucks, flat decks, 53' trailers, cars, and pick-up trucks.Record all orders and shipments on paper and fill out waybills.Enter information into the computer system (5% of the time).Use radio systems for communication.Call drivers to arrange pickups.Receive, count, group, clean, and reset rental products to their initial state in the yard.Repair damaged braces.Essential SkillsForklift certificates: Both SDCB & Stand-up Reach.Minimum of 3 months experience in warehouse or other general labor roles.Ability to communicate in English verbally, writing, and reading.Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.Additional Skills & Qualifications6+ months of forklift experience.Experience with tools such as punch press, angle grinders, circular saws, and drills.Strong customer service skills.Eager to learn and team-oriented.Effective time management skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse with a team of 4, part of a total team of 10. The warehouse is somewhat temperature-controlled, with racking and material storage. The yard is open to all elements, rain gear is provided. Work hours are flexible with varied start times between 5 am and 8 am. Day shift from Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours with unpaid lunch, initially from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm for the first 6 months, transitioning to 8:00 am to 4:30 pm after permanent placement.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.50/hr.
