2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs 5pm to 5am

There will be one forge inspectors performing visuals and process conformance inspection.

Summary of Main Responsibilities
The Forge Inspector is responsible for overseeing that all aspects of the forge process (saws, belt load, forge, trim) are being followed by the operators per documented work instructions, inspecting the parts visually and dimensionally per the print and documenting results. The inspector is responsible for stopping the process when not correct, segregating suspect parts, and informing forge and quality supervision of issues.
Key Responsibilities
• Process instructions are being followed.
• Quality at saws being maintained.
• Quality instructions for loading slugs being followed.
• Audit that heat check on slugs and dies being performed and properly.
• Parts are handled correctly.
• Pulling samples for visual and dimensional inspection at the forge press and trim presses
• Proper documentation of inspection results
• Follow proper procedures when non-conforming process or parts are found.

Qualifications and Skills
• Ability to read prints.
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers.
• The ability to work with others as part of a team is essential.
