Job Summary:

The Foreign Exchange Analyst role is responsible for providing support to treasury, finance, and global business units for all of PayPal’s daily FX pricing and trading strategies. This role is part of the FX Treasury Team that has primary responsibility of daily FX pricing and trading to support PayPal cross border transactions, cash flow hedging, balance sheet hedging, and liquidity management. The position will require detailed analysis of data for the purpose of aiding trade execution decisions and the measurement of financial performance for all FX activities amongst other Treasury responsibilities. The role will also support a risk management and compliance function. This position is in Austin.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform daily cash management and forecasting activities to ensure operational liquidityMonitor and manage cash positions to optimize investment opportunitiesReview global bank account balances to support global Treasury and PayPal Business Units liquidity requirementsSupport updates/enhancements to systems and processesDevelop and support Treasury policies, procedures, and controlsMonitor FX exposures; manage and execute daily FX trades including derivatives hedging with bank counterpartiesPrepare data reports in support of monthly and quarterly controlsAssist with execution of Transformation initiativesIdentify and recommend process improvements for area of responsibilityDesign and implement dashboard-based analytics platform and tools

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Support all aspects of day-to-day FX activities with focus on data analysis Extract relevant internal and external data, analyze, organize, and present them into formats or models which can be used for FX trading, reporting, or performance measurement purposes Assist FX team in design and implementation of evolving foreign exchange pricing and trading systems including reporting and analytical framework to support FX operations, projects, and program changes “Go in between” Treasury team and system development team to relate requirements and problem solving Support FX activities and execution of trades, across our different FX hedging programsCoordinate with planning function on actual and forecasted FX flows Provide foreign exchange expertise to internal, cross functional teams who consume FX rates for various applications  Provide foreign exchange expertise and intelligence to evaluate and implement best pricing and execution strategies Collaborate with FX team to analyze FX counterparty performance Partner with treasury team on all operational aspects of FX to support corporate and customer needs Analyze cross border flows from other PayPal businesses as they expand globally – Xoom, Braintree, Hyperwallet and other future acquisitions.Assist in expanding currencies supported by PayPal for all its business needs Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on various FX related inquiries Partner with product and pricing teams on cross border analysis. Support all global legal and regulatory requirements Provide strategic support for business units where possible by leveraging FX and treasury experience 

Position Requirements: 

5+ years Data Analytics/ Treasury/Finance experience Degree in Finance or Accounting, Mathematics, or another Quantitative FieldBusiness intelligence or system analyst experience to demonstrate the ability to perform data analysis and research. Experience and familiarity with handling large data sets; prior experience in using Tableau, SQL and Python coding is desirable Robust system, data flow knowledge and ability to translate them to product flow Addressing business problems by translating them into structured analyses, synthesizing data from multiple sources, and delivering solutions Collaborative, highly analytical individual and initiative-taker who excels at learning new processes and business functions Experience in FX operations at a global financial institution will be an advantage Broad Treasury background preferred. Experience at Payment Network will be a plusExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Strong analytical and project management skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment 

Technology Proficiencies 

Python, Tableau, and SQL superuserProficiency in Microsoft Office Excel (including VBA) will be advantageous.
