Inviting applications for the role of Forecasting Specialist – Assistant Manager - English – Hybrid Katowice
Your Role
Key to this role is the creation and maintenance of the statistical forecast for the portfolio for all time horizons. Run Machine Learning forecast
Responsibilities
Ensure statistical / sensed forecasts are created for the whole of their portfolio considering demand drivers at the agreed hierarchy level
Research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast performance
Monitor and report on specific KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, forecast BIAS, MAPE, forecast value add) at multiple levels and lags and provide insights on contributing factors and improvement opportunities
Select the best statistical model for forecast items that cannot be modelled by the system considering seasonality, responsiveness, trend and stability
Contribute to Promotion Planning based on data insights
Run Machine Learning forecast and disaggregation to building blocks
Run automatic cleansing. Make sure final output (cleansed data) completed in the system
Generate historical demand performance report and ensure all the needed actions to be considered for forecasting
For new product introductions, analyze proposal of like-SKU and collaborate with Demand Planners to generate the initial forecasts, additionally consider cannibalization impacts
Optimize and tune statistical forecasts, updating system parameters after conducting the necessary analysis to identify improvement opportunities
Track and monitor changes to allow for continuous improvement
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math or other relevant degree
Strong understand of at least advanced planning systems and its functionality,
Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP / Oracle / JDE an asset.
Demonstrated experience in Forecasting (Statistical Techniques, Collaboration Scenario Modeling, Parameters modeling)
Strong analytical skills
Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to immediately contribute in a collaborative team environment
An ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of client focus
Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn
