**In this position...**
Ford Performance Parts Purchasing is a trusted supply chain partner providing value and fostering collaboration to procure aftermarket (retail) products which strive to exceed customer’s expectations of cost, quality, and availability.
Working on the team gives you an opportunity to deliver products to our customers that exceed expectations and help grow the business.
Primary role is to execute commercial and supply chain activity to manage Ford Performance Parts for aftermarket consumers. Activities include engineering development, market tests, supplier selection, cost negotiations, marketing programs, supply chain and warehouse management. The buyer works cross functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Planning and Operations to develop new aftermarket (retail) kits and achieve inventory and part availability targets
**What you'll do...**
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Implement department supply chain strategy for inventory by selecting suppliers for parts, materials, tooling, and services as allowed by the corporate purchasing delegation of authority.
+ Manage total supply chain- Sourcing, Procurement, Continuity of Supply
+ Manage part procurement and inventory release through the Ford Performance Unique Procurement (Browser) and Product Change Request (PCR) Systems
+ Lead commercial negotiations. Conduct requests for information (RFIs), requests for quote (RFQs), Market Tests (MT), and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver the best value to Ford.
+ Provide commercial support to department functions as needed - marketing, sales, e-business, operations, logistics, technical and engineering services, tooling, and prototype parts.
+ Support customer facing events such as SEMA and PRI as needed.
+ Business Process Improvements and Waste Elimination - work continuously to improve department quality, processes, and systems.
+ Educate suppliers on Company processes, requirements, and Global Terms and Conditions
**Systems you’ll use:**
+ Ford Performance Parts Unique Procurement Systems (WMS) – for supply chain management, merchandising, ordering
+ COPS (FCSD) – place orders for service parts
+ MMP (IMS2/Facility C) – research service parts sourcing, cost, availability
+ I-ERP / SAP – research production parts sourcing, cost
+ SAP / Ariba – process expense orders
+ DocuSign – document authorization
+ Shared Drives – purchasing files, department forms
**You'll have...**
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 3+ years of Purchasing experience
+ Systems knowledge in SAP, AURORA, DocuSign
+ Proficiency using Microsoft software, Excel, Power Point, Word
+ Hybrid model (in office Tu-TH), standard work hours (8am-5pm), occasional travel required

+ A positive can-do attitude, flexibility, and resilience
+ Ford systems knowledge in WIPS, MMP, SAP, CMMS, AURORA, DocuSign
+ Experience in the aftermarket and enthusiast space
+ Experience with demand forecasting a plus
+ Technical aptitude for problem resolution

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .
