In this position... 

The Ford Performance Body Exterior Team is seeking an independent, empowered and passionate Body Exterior/PMT Engineer to support the Exterior engineering of upcoming cutting-edge on and off-road vehicle programs.

You'll have...

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required2+ Years of experience in Body Exterior Design & Release, including delivery of 1 completed programBody Structures, closures, or Exterior D&R experience may also be consideredExperience in a PMT/SET lead or engineer role preferred2 Years of experience using CAD and/or other visualization toolsUnderstanding of program delivery processes / GPDSWorking knowledge of Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, CATIA, DFMEA, FEDE, FEDEBOM, WERSFabrication/mockup skills to demonstrate proof of conceptIndependent self-starter that can connect analytical tools with physical hardware and vehicle performancePassion for performance vehicles

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .

Lead the design, release, and delivery of Body Exterior components and systems for Ford PerformanceManage Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing to support program & engineering GPDS milestonesWork with Purchasing to source commoditiesLead FSS (Full Service Suppliers) and/or other internal/external resources to deliver subject programsAssure conformance to the Ford Performance DNA and all applicable Ford & regulatory requirementsDevelop innovative solutions for performance vehicles – including design, CAE analysis, and testingSupport issue resolution and design change management during the prototype build and launch phasesInterface and maintain collaborative relationship with Core Body Exterior Engineering OrganizationSupport current production and quality effortsSupport cost optimization effortsSupport PMT lead and program team with overall program function
