Overview of Responsibilities Work with and commission new vendor partners. Work closely with third party distributers to ensure that all aspects of the supply chain from new item and vendor set up, to items available on the shelf are executed. Collaborate across the organization on partner capabilities assessments to ensure product-market fit. Work cross-functionally to ensure successful execution. Work with team of strategists and analysts with report ideation, creation, editing and scheduling, whilst also developing the team. Champion equality, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability in our culture. Working across Sprouts business functions, collaborating on ideation, content creation and strategy. Produce presentations of your research and insight and deliver internally and externally. Be a go-to industry resource for our team and our partners. Creating and understanding food industry technologies. Monitor consumer trends and share insights with stakeholders - turn external insights into internal action through impactful readouts. Run pilot programs with select Vendors with the goal of finding innovative solutions with substantial impact potential on Sprouts. Quantify the value delivered to our Vendors and the business. Be an innovation thought partner for Vendors and external stakeholders by acting as a trusted advisor and operating through influence. Host grocery meetups with vendors, open-source community, and peer innovation teams from the grocery industry and other industries with the goal of sharing lessons learned and practical experiences. #LI-CS1 Qualifications Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the Grocery industry across multiple markets and categories. Ideally, you will have experience in creating trends and have a good base knowledge of brands, products, ingredients, technologies, and innovations. 5+ years’ experience in the grocery industry is highly desirable, with exceptional knowledge of the consumer behavior, generational shifts, and retail shifts across the industry. Strong level of ability in writing, editing, and reporting. An understanding of the role data and analytics play in commercial success. Ability to work and interrogate qualitative and quantitative data to extract meaningful insights. Proficient with Microsoft office suite and an understanding of technology on a broad scale Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work within a team to ensure production standards, reports, and outputs are of a consistently high standard and submitted on time. Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies A background in innovation including experience of lean start-up, design thinking, prototyping and have solid commercial awareness. Ability to keep pulse on and evaluate trends and translate into actionable recommendations Proven track record developing and implementing strategies and new commercial opportunities that deliver business results.
