What you will be working on:
As a Principal Digital Development Operations, you'll help Nike Footwear optimize footwear product value for consumers by developing tools that bring visibility, predictability or insights around cost, sustainability and manufacturing and by teaching, training and operationalizing said tools. The development and implementation of these tools enables Nike Footwear Product Creation to make more cost-effective, sustainable, and efficient decisions. It unlocks capacity for our Product Creation teams in Development, Engineering, and Materials.
You'll be responsible for defining new process and digital projects to ensure Footwear teams make right decisions. As the project manager for these tools, you’ll be responsible for, analyzing pertinent data, defining project scope, defining requirements, identifying and communicating with stakeholders, estimating cost to build, securing funding, managing timelines, etc.

This work requires you to collaborate with, and influence, leaders and individual contributors across various departments, including Design, Development, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Technology, and Costing, both at Nike's headquarters and with external partners.
This role will be the key liaison between the footwear Product Creation community (“the Business”) and Nike’s Technology team.
At time you will work independently across multiple footwear functions, acting as the product expert and mentoring others to learn. You’ll be responsible for influencing Tech teams to prioritize systems and tools that will support the work of the product creation community, unlock capacity, and lead in product excellence.
Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you need a deep knowledge of footwear development and engineering, the ability to manipulate and derive insights from large amounts data, the ability to tailor communication styles to a wide variety of audiences, practiced project management skills and comfort moving work forward in ambiguous and undefined settings.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including footwear development, engineering, manufacturing, or costing
Knowledge of footwear construction.
Knowledge of footwear sourcing, processes, and events from product concept to delivery is preferred
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement best practices
A pragmatic thinker and creative problem solver who will proactively research and drive collective resolution
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong influencing skills
Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, remain flexible, be results-oriented, and work productively within a matrixed organization
Work comfortably in an environment of ambiguity
Mentor and help train new or less experienced team members
High proficiency using MS Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel 5-10% of the time
