The JBT Food Tech Center welcomes customers from across the globe to test their products on our equipment. Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting sanitation standard operating procedures in the Food Processing Technology center and preparing equipment for customer trials. They also assist in developing programs to ensure maintenance and sanitary conditions of all FPTC facilities and equipment. Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent: Perform proper cleaning procedures as required for equipment utilized in the FPTC for customer testing, demonstration and training activities. 25% Assist in developing programs to ensure the maintenance of all FPTC facilities and equipment are properly organized, cleaned and maintained in a sanitary condition, suitable for inspection and/or use. 25% Set-up, level, adjust, and inspect all food processing lines for subsequent FPTC testing or demonstration as directed 25% Secure FPTC each night. Lock doors and cabinets. Shut down all equipment, dispose of all trash, and turn off lights and air handling units 25% Occasional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned. This position is exposed to various cleaning and lubricating products, heat, noise and other elements associated with the sanitation and cleaning process, but with none present to the extent of being continually disagreeable. This position requires the operation of all JBT FoodTech equipment installed in FPTC as well as a variety of allied supplier equipment. Physical Demands: Frequent heavy lifting of equipment components and supplies is required. Moving of equipment around the FPTC is done on a regular basis.
