40 hrs/wk, some evening/Sat hours required
$18+/based on experience
The Food Shelf Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food shelf, including inventory management, volunteer coordination, client services, and compliance with health and safety regulations. This position ensures that food is distributed efficiently, equitably, and respectfully to all clients.
Responsibilities:
Manage all logistics of food shelf including service hour operations, call-in orders, online ordering app, deliveries, special distributions, food sorting, stocking & inventory. Coordinate staff and volunteers, including training and scheduling. Work directly with clients and community members via phone and in person. Coordinate with outside community resources. Ensure accurate records & statistics are maintained. Conduct regular evaluations of the program to improve service.Qualifications:
Computer experience, including Word/Excel/websites/social media/apps Excellent communication skills, including written, phone and in-person situations. Physical ability to load & unload boxes & bags on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds, & be on your feet for long periods of time. Valid driver's license and vehicle. Person of high integrity who will maintain confidentiality of food shelf clients, and who will treat all clients equally and fairly. Ability to speak Spanish, desirable, but not required. Experience with writing grants desirable, but not required.
