The Food Service Associate is responsible for preparing, plating, serving, and transporting food and supplies to meet the needs of a diverse customer base, including patients, families, physicians, staff, and the public. This role ensures quick, accurate, and courteous service while maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and customer preferences
Transport food and supplies to designated areas
Provide prompt and courteous service, resolving customer concerns as needed
Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control protocols
Operate food service and computer equipment as required
Qualifications:Preferred: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
No prior experience required – training provided
Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control
Serve Safe training or ISDOH Food Handler certification may be required depending on location
Basic computer skills; familiarity with CBORD system preferred
Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform tasks involving lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling
