Position Summary
Full time hourly, 9:30am-6:30pm. The Food Service Worker will report to and assist the Food Service Supervisor in the duties of food preparation and related duties. All kitchen staff will ensure that the dining room and kitchen needs are met on a daily basis.
Essential Functions
Prepare and maintain the salad bar, condiments and beverage stations Sweep and mop as well as clear off tables and chairs. Prep the dining room each morning/afternoon before the lunch and dinner rush Set up cold food areas before meals Cleaning of food prep areas and dining room after meals Serve on the line for lunch and dinner Follow health department regulations All other duties assigned by the Food Service Lead or Administrator\Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull and lift objects such as dish trays and boxes of food, and reach overhead in pantry, freezer and refrigerator. Ability to operate kitchen equipment and appliances. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
At least one year in related field High School diploma, equivalency degree or demonstration of equivalent skills Food handlers certificateSkills, Knowledge & Abilities
