We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Patient Food Services Assistant (FSA) to join our team, helping to ensure safe and efficient food service delivery within a hospital environment.
As an FSA, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care by assisting in the preparation, assembly, and delivery of meals to meet dietary and safety standards.
We have multiple full-time opportunities, working across a 7-day roster, 0500 - 2200. You must be available to work 38 hours per week and have full time working rights to be considered for this role
What you'll do:
Prepare, assemble, and plate hot and cold meals according to dietary requirements and menu plans
Ensure food safety compliance by following HACCP procedures, cleaning protocols, and correct food handling practices
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, work areas, and utensils to a high standard
Receive, store, and rotate stock following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles and report low stock levels
Accurately complete all food safety documentation and actively participate in infection control and quality improvement initiatives
What you'll bring:
Previous experience in food service, kitchen hand, or catering roles (healthcare experience desirable)
Possession of a Food Hygiene Certificate or Workplace Hygiene Certificate
Strong communication and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
A positive, flexible attitude and a team-oriented mindset
Commitment to safe work practices, attention to detail, and pride in maintaining a clean and professional appearance
