Food Service Laborer (10.5 Month) Grand Island CSD 1100 Ransom Road Grand Island , NY 14072 Classified - Position - Food Service Helper - labor class Job Number 3300052910 Start Date Open Date 07/30/2025 Closing Date 08/13/2025 Anticipated Employment Date: ASAP Anticipated Work Location/Hours: District Wide - based at Ransom Road Complex 6:30 am to 1:00 pm Salary: $22.26/hr plus benefits (incl. health insurance, retirement, and paid time off) per SRP Contract Duties: + Receive deliveries of food, supplies, and equipment in accordance with proper receiving standards. + Organize and store items in designated areas. + Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods. + Maintain accurate inventory records; assist with physical inventory counts. + Deliver food and supplies to school kitchens or designated service areas as needed. + Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety. + Report low stock levels, shortages, or discrepancies to the Food Service Director. + Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including temperature monitoring and pest control standards. + Assist kitchen staff as directed. Minimum Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Valid driver's license. + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Basic math, recordkeeping, and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
