We are currently hiring for a bilingual (English/Japanese) Food Safety Specialist with a client in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Food Science but open to other degrees with relevant experience.

Description

Provide documentation to customers (spec sheets, audit certificates, etc.)Communicate with suppliers for documentationDevelop and maintain HACCP plans and prerequisite programsVerify labeling and ingredients of imported productsInvestigate non-conformities and customer complaintsConduct monthly internal auditsResearch regulations and report fish imports to NOAAApply/renew certificates and registrationsAttend company events and inventory counts

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field (preferred)Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulationsFamiliarity with FDA/USDA labeling and compliance standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentExperience with internal audits and corrective action processesKnowledge of Japanese food products and ingredients (preferred)

The pay range for this position is $44720.00 - $56160.00/yr.

This is a direct hire placement, once hired you will be entitled to full benefits of the company
