**Job Description**
The Food Production Supervisor coordinates activities of the production area with respect to meeting all production needs (cold and hot foods), assist with purchasing, inventory and day-to-day supervision of production staff. Assist with training of food production staff engaged in preparing and cooking foods to ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
**Long Description**
COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $24.00 to $24.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

**Job Responsibilities**
+ Monitors and maintains proper work routines for all production staff.
+ Coordinates and supervises production and other food service personnel work assignments to ensure economical and timely food production and maintenance of sanitary conditions.
+ Ensures employees follow the Aramark recipes for food preparation and cooking with respect to portion size, taste, appearance and nutritive value. Tests, cooked foods through taste and smell in order to maintain high quality of food produced.
+ Prints Geri menu tally sheets an hour before each meal leaves the kitchen and checks on the prepared meal count to correspond with Geri menu tally before meal is sent over to tray line. Corrects any shortages before the meal is sent over to tray line. AM supervisor checks Breakfast and Lunch meals and PM supervisor checks Dinner meal.
+ Monitors production and stocking needs for the production area and ensures the floor stock and tray line requisitions are delivered.
+ Maintains compliance with ARAMARK?s standards of operation. Ensures opening and closing procedures are followed, accurate completion of temperature checks of cold food, hot food, food held and stored. Maintains temperature logs for all food storage units. Monitors accurate receiving procedure are followed and logs completed and on file. Ensures preventable food waste data is analyzed and discussed with employee to minimize food waste during production.
+ Maintains serve safe certification and ensures all critical control points are monitored daily.
+ Assists in completing inventory and determines purchasing needs to implement and execute established company policies, guidelines and procedures for all food and supplies purchased to achieve highest quality/price value and budget objectives in the absence of the Manager.
+ Establishes and enforces nutrition and sanitation standards of the kitchen, and related work areas. Maintains the cleanliness of the work area and equipment and monitors accurate completion of Master cleaning schedule by the employees.
+ Participates in the selection process of production employees. Familiarizes and trains new employees with their job flows and assists with retraining employees as needed.
+ Provides necessary coverage (should be able to perform all facets of production duties) as and when needed for all production staff except Drivers.
+ Adheres to ARAMARK?s Business Conduct Policy at all times and ensures employees do the same.
+ Assists with maintaining established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Completes daily huddles to go over any production related concerns and to communicate weekly safe briefs.
+ Acts as a liaison between tray line and production staff. All telephone calls should be logged and Manager made aware of food related concerns in a timely manner.
+ Performs all other related duties as assigned by Manager.

**Qualifications**
+ Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff.
+ Ability to write letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
+ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
+ Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
+ Requires management and leadership skills in addition to good planning and organization skills.
+ Position requires the ability to work with confidential employee, client and ARAMARK information.
+ Position requires a HS Diploma and 1-2 years? supervisory experience or more than 6 years of supervisory experience.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
