THE IMPACT OF THIS ROLE
The Food & Beverage Event Sales Manager is responsible for representing, initiating, soliciting, and negotiating business & contracts for the dedicated outlets at the hotel, namely Reflections: The Garden Terrace, 1927 Lounge, and The Georgia Bar. Key focus will be on both full & partial buyouts. Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, the Food & Beverage Event Sales Manager proactively engages with prospective and existing clients and maintains superlative customer service, acting as a key liaison with clients leading up to the scheduled event, building long-term customer relationships that enable full achievement of sales objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in sales calls, telephone prospecting, and market analyses to identify and acquire new/additional business. Conduct on-site tours and site inspections of the outlets with prospective clients and future incoming guests. Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers; attend community/social and industry events. Negotiate and finalize contracts with prospective clients. Actively participate in regular sales meetings and Rosewood Hotel training sessions to increase sales results and revenues for the hotel. Meet regularly with the Event Operations Management team to review the status of upcoming events, openly communicating all information, including menus, staffing needs, special requests and specific requirements pertinent to the successful execution of each event. Meet with the Executive Chef to plan event menus and communicate special requests from clients. Prepare and distribute internal/external correspondence including, however not limited to: proposals, contracts, turnover forms & event resumes in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure all definite functions are detailed accurately on BEO’s, signed by clients and promptly distributed to designated departments. Monitor changes to the BEO’s ensuring updated information is communicated in a prompt manner. Maintain accurate records and monthly tracking of all BEO’s and Infogenesis receipts for each outlet event. Inspect setup of outlets with operations team prior to client arrival, ensuring all details of the agreement with client’s requirements have been auctioned. Welcome client contact upon arrival at function and ensure guest satisfaction, resolving guest issues and complaints in a prompt manner. Secure completed direct bill applications, distribution of credit information, and adherence to client billing procedures. Openly communicate with appropriate areas of the hotel regarding needs and requirements of clients, including VIP guests, special requests, and any other pertinent information that maximizes the guest experience; Complete monthly Sales Action Plan Report and assist in the development of the Hotel’s Marketing Plan and Outlets Budgets.
