Responsibilities Serves as cashier in the snack bar. Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items. Assures that tables and work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas. Receives payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. May work on a mobile eating cart to deliver food and drink to patrons. Orders fast-food items, condiments and other necessary supplies. Receives delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery. Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited o preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to: 1. Must meet local age requirements at the time of appointment to serve alcoholic beverages (18 Years). 2. Ability to work without more than normal supervision. 3. Ability to keep things clean and in order. 4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques. 5. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions. 6. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles. 7. Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. 8. Able to lift and move objects up to forty (40) pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach. FWS Allowances and Differentials All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
